What is Poker?
No definition is satisfactory despite the commonalities in the majority of variations. The poker is practiced in clubs, most of whom are part of casinos, private parties (illegal in some countries) and in recent years on the Internet.
The poker clubs and official websites boils down to the forms that are Stud, poker closed (Draw) and poker open to common cards (Flops). Among the most popular forms of poker, there is Texas Hold’em, Stud 5 cards and 7 Card Stud, the Omaha and Razz (7 Card Stud low, Red Dog Poker and Poker Let It Ride. Private parties, they can generate hundreds of different varieties of poker, some of which are so remote from the original poker that they have more poker than the name! In recent years, Texas Hold’em poker has become the most popular, wherever you play. Television coverage of international competitions (especially the USA and the UK) has put forward the magnificent apparent simplicity of this game that there is “a minute to learn” (to quote a famous commentator) “but a lifetime to master”.
